Network high availablity or Retundancy

Fire Walls

High availability (HA) firewall systems ensure that the network is protected even if one of the firewall devices fails. Redundancy provides continuous security coverage and there is no single point of failure. There are several high-availability options available for firewalls, depending on the firewall system you are using.

Network Switches

Network redundancy is the process of providing multiple paths for traffic so that data can keep flowing even in the event of a failure. This helps to ensure that the network remains available and operational even if one or more components fail. There are two main forms that network redundancy can take: fault tolerance and high availability.

In a fault-tolerant system, there is at least one complete duplicate of the system hardware running side-by-side with the primary system. Should one system fail, the other will take over simultaneously, with no loss of service

Soft Fire Walls

Soft firewalls are software-based firewalls that are installed on a computer or server. They are designed to protect individual devices rather than an entire network. Soft firewalls can be used in conjunction with hardware firewalls to provide additional security.
